Choose your own puppy from any Litter & then Choose your level of Training! MBD Puppies have the option to stay for PUPPY Training OR they can go Home with you, right away, at 8 weeks old. Naturally, Pre-Trained Puppies are More Expensive than Puppies that go home on Puppy Pick Day, at 8 weeks old. Puppies that complete Turnkey Puppy Training will be almost 4 months old, House Trained, Obedience Trained and A LOT More!

Socialization and training are critical between 2-6 months old, for a well mannered, happy-go-lucky Adult Bernedoode! Exposure to 50-100 new faces per week is 100% necessary for proper puppy socialization.

🎓 Level 1: Foundations Training 🎓
Duration: 1 Week
Age: Specific to 8-9 weeks old
Cost: $1800
- Intro to Crate training (Primary Focus) with the goal of being quiet & comfortable in the crate while learning to “hold it” for 2 hours (longer overnight)
- Goal: Sleeping 7-8 Hours, through the night (Usually 10PM-6AM) 😴😴😴
- Establishing puppy on a Routine/Schedule
- Socialization with loud sounds, new surfaces, new dogs, new people & surroundings
- Beginner muscle memory training for commands: Sit & Down
- Socialization with Grooming needs
- Going up and down Stairs
Level 2: Associates in “Housepitality”
Duration: Two Weeks
Cost: $2800
- 2nd Distemper Vaccination
- Sleeping through the night! 😴
- Beginner commands: Settle/Place, Leave It, Wait, Place, & Look
- House Training Cont.
- Socialization with all ages, 50-100 New Faces per week is the goal
- Continued Crate & House Training
- Socialization with Routine Grooming Needs
- Introduction to Riding in the Car
- Intro to LEASH WALKING & collar pressure while visiting new places & noisy streets w/ cars passing
- Grasps concept of walking on leash with attention (“Look”) on trainer
- Begin Marker/Reward Training
- Commands Continued: Positive reinforcement for Sit and Down commands
Level 3: Bachelor of Basic Obedience
Duration: Two Weeks
Cost: $2800
- Primary Focus: Adding Duration and Real World Distractions with cues Settle, Sit, Down, Wait, Heel, Leave It, Take It, Settle/Place & Look
- Continued focus on House Training & being quiet / comfortable in the crate
- Continued Socialization with new Adults, children, babies and disabled adults/children. 100 New Faces per week is the goal!
- Introduce Intermediate commands: Recall, On leash
- “Wait” at the door
- Intermediate Leash Manners (primary focus) with Distractions & Impulse Control. Walking comfortably on a leash, no chasing, crossing or pulling.
- Impulse Control: Cars, squirrels, bikes and anything else they may want to chase
- Discuss any special needs/requests for Level 4 Training
Level 4: Master of Turnkey Puppy Skills
Duration: 2 Weeks
Cost: $2800
- 3rd Distemper Vaccination
- Primary Focus: Mastering all Basic & Intermediate obedience commands from previous Training levels with Duration & Distractions
- Training with a new trainer and in various new environments.
- Extended DURATION & DISTRACTIONS with ALL commands & Training in new places to ensure “Training Transfer”
- Continued Beginner: Off–Leash Recall Training
- Crate & House Training continued
- Real World Exposures: Exposure to water, hospitals, schools, beaches, wheelchairs and other special requests may be available. Some special requests may require an additional fee
- Advanced: Leash Manners
- Advanced: Sit, Down, Settle/Place, Leave It, Take It, Look & Wait
